Genau den, ihren Journalismus halte ich bisher im VErgleich für recht gut. Grundsätzlich haben Geheimdienste und Journalist:innen Beziehungen, das halte ich für normal und sinnvoll. Aber ich muss [0] mal gründlicher lesen.
schon klar, und Geheimdienste sind auch grundsätzlich gut, nicht? Solange sie einen natürlich nicht selbst überwachen. ;-)
Die Beziehungen zwischen den westlichen Geheimdiensten und den Massenmedien scheint sogar so gut zu sein, dass Assange seit wie vielen Jahren jetzt im britischen Guantanamo[0] sitzt und niemand außer den unabhängigen (sog. "alternativen") Medien darüber berichtet.
Die Beziehungen zwischen den Medien und den Geheimdiensten sind in den USA bspw. sogar so gut, dass bei einigen Massenmedien sogar ganz offen ehem. CIA- und FBI-Mitarbeiter für sie arbeiten. Bei Chomsky heißt sowas "Manufacturing Consent".[1]

Mir persönlich helfen die Begriffe "Kapitalismus" und "Feudalismus" nicht, die aktuellen politischen, wirtschaflichen und gesellschaftlichen Ereignisse zu verstehen. Die Vergleiche hinken so stark, dass ich mit ihnen eher eine Polarisierung erlebe. Die brauche ich nicht.
Was ist denn für dich "Kapitalismus", dass es dir nicht hilft die "aktuellen" wirtschaftlichen Zusammenhänge zu verstehen?
Ein Beispiel: Noch kannst Du verschiedene Zeitungen kaufen und auch ohne die Produkte bestimmter Versender oder Kommunikationsmedien auskommen. Im Feudalmus was das (soweit ich das verstehe) gesetzlich nicht möglich oder wurde mit physischer Gewalt verhindert.
Da gebe ich dir sogar recht. Aber heutzutage ist es doch so, dass niemand mehr gedruckte Zeitungen liest. a) Weil Zeitungen und Zeitungsabonnements einfach zu teuer geworden sind. (Ich weiß wovon ich rede, habe ja selber noch eins.) b) Weil es auch viel einfacher ist, alles digital zu lesen. c) Ganz allgemein lesen die Leute heutzutage doch auch nicht mehr als die Überschriften. Weil sie keine Zeit haben, weil sie 8, 10, 12Std. am Tag für ihren Unterhalt schuften müssen und weil es auch mittlerweile eine derartige Informationsflut gibt, dass man sowieso nicht die Zeit hat, alles zu lesen.
Zu b) Dadurch, dass aber alle alles nur noch digital lesen, braucht es auch keine Zensur von physischen Medien mehr. ZB. bekommen viele Leute ihre Nachrichten über die sozialen Medien verlinkt. Und wie wir aus den Twitter-Files[2] und den Facebook-Files[3] gelernt haben, üben Regierungen massiven Einfluss auf die sozialen Medien und darauf aus, was Leute überhaupt noch sehen können.
Übrigens auch klassische Zensur gibt es zu genüge. Nimm als Bsp. "RT Deutsch", bei dem sie die IP-Adressen und DNS-Einträge gesperrt haben. Man muss die überhaupt nicht gut finden, aber zensiert wurden sie trotzdem. Das ist, was ich heute im Vergleich zu früher eben so problematisch finde. Um Zensur zu üben, musste man früher Gesetze erlassen, Wohnungen durchsuchen, Leute wegsperren. Heute reicht es, wenn man ein paar E-Mails schreibt und eine IP-Adresse aus der Whitelist rausnimmt.
Heute ist viel spannender, warum die Leute trotz der vorhandenen Möglichkeiten ihre Aufmerksamkeit den großen privatwirtschaftlichen IT-Unternehmen schenken.
Weil Propaganda funktioniert.
