FOSDEM is one of the world's premier meetings of free software developers, with over five thousand people attending each year. FOSDEM 2017 takes place 4-5 February 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. https://fosdem.org This email contains information about: - Real-Time communications dev-room and lounge, - speaking opportunities, - volunteering in the dev-room and lounge, - related events around FOSDEM, including the XMPP summit, - social events (the legendary FOSDEM Beer Night and Saturday night dinners provide endless networking opportunities), - the Planet aggregation sites for RTC blogs Call for participation - Real Time Communications (RTC) ======================================================= The Real-Time dev-room and Real-Time lounge is about all things involving real-time communication, including: XMPP, SIP, WebRTC, telephony, mobile VoIP, codecs, peer-to-peer, privacy and encryption. The dev-room is a successor to the previous XMPP and telephony dev-rooms. We are looking for speakers for the dev-room and volunteers and participants for the tables in the Real-Time lounge. The dev-room is only on Saturday, 4 February 2017. The lounge will be present for both days. Hi Daniel, I was able to successfully run the NDK-build and was able to resolve the error which appeared while building it. it was * **jni/g729/siphon-g729/Headers\basic_op.h:641:21: error: invalid output constraint '=&r*i' in asm* * : "=&r*i"(out),and in line 700: ** '=&r*i' in asm* "*i" output constraint syntax was not found in the Asm Library. I think, the compiler which my version of ndk build was using could not understand "*i" I changed " =&r*i"(out) and kept & "=&r"(out) . There seems to be some mismatch in the constraints that the compiler on my system was identifying . Possibly due to deprecation or version changes. Since it is assembly language level change I removed that unidentified constraint on one of the output register. I don't think that for the purposes of my work it would have any significant impact, I could file this is an issue on the github page so that others who run into can know how to bypass it atleast in development. [Free-RTC] [Outreachy] application deadline Monday, 17 October

The Outreachy application deadline is Monday, 17 October at 19:00 UTC Anybody interested in mentoring, at this stage, the best thing to do is simply promote the program and help answer questions on the mailing lists. After the application deadline, we can see the number of applicants and discuss how to proceed. Every potential intern needs to register in the GNOME registration system before the deadline: https://outreachy.gnome.org Interns: don't wait for the last minute, servers often crash in the hour before an important deadline. In the application, it asks you to propose a timeline for your work. Pick one or more of the tasks from project.freertc.org (or any other bugs listed in Github or elsewhere) and make a list of them in the order you would work on them. Every applicant needs to make a small contribution to a project before the deadline. Simply trying to compile one of the projects and sending a public email about your experience doing that will be sufficient but it is better if you try to fix some bug or make some small improvement to the code. Anybody who does submit an Outreachy application can be considered for GSoC 2017 as well and we have had many cases where applications are not accepted in Outreachy but were subsequently successful in applying for GSoC. Many of the details from the Outreachy application can be cut-and-pasted for a GSoC application too so please keep a copy of everything you put in the application. Please make sure you tell us if you also want to apply for GSoC 2017. Thankyou for your inputs,Pranav. I was able to run Ndk-build after this by C:\Users\urvik\android-ndk-r13\ndk-build command. After the build got over, 6 warning and 2 errors were generated. Errors in basic_op.h file at line 641 & 700 are : ** *jni/g729/siphon-g729/Headers\basic_op.h:641:21: error: invalid output constraint '=&r*i' in asm* * : "=&r*i"(out),* and ^ *jni/g729/siphon-g729/Headers\basic_op.h:700:7: error: invalid output constraint '=&r*i' in asm* * : "=&r*i"(out)* Can someone help me in resolving this issue? Downloaded Gradle 2.2.1 and adding its environment variables. Resolving deltas: 100% (5644/5644), done. Checking out files: 100% (390/390), done. a. (.cpp files in jni folder) Initially I installed NDK through android studio along with Cmake and LLDB. and $ ${NDK_HOME}/ndk-build didnt work -- urvik@DESKTOP-56TSQGT MINGW64 ~/desktop/abc/lumicall (master) $ C:/Users/urvik/AppData/Local/Android/Sdk/ndk-bundle/ndk-build bash: C:/Users/urvik/AppData/Local/Android/Sdk/ndk-bundle/ndk-build: No such file or directory Later on I downloaded NDK Zip Folder and then executed k@DESKTOP-56TSQGT MINGW64 ~/desktop/abc/lumicall (master) *$ C:/Users/urvik/android-ndk-r13/build/ndk-build* ERROR: Cannot find 'make' program. Please install Cygwin make package or define the GNUMAKE variable to point to it. I installed the Cvgwin make pakage, urvik@DESKTOP-56TSQGT ~ $ make -v GNU Make 4.1 I tried a lot resolving this but I am unable to do so. Could you please guide me through.
