Dear all,

I want to inform you that I checked the completeness of this task. Our status looks like this:
1. the first Unit prepared by ATL has sources and copyright notices wherever appropriate and has been updated in both the UK/Master and the Greek course.
2. all pics from the other units that were not following the guidelines provided by OFE are now deleted from the UK/Master and the Greek course.
3. ATL is not responsible for the DE, SE, IT, IR course.

Best,
Katerina

Dear all,

According to the guidelines provided from the legal department of OFE forwarded from Sivan to us all (see his e-mail from 17.09.19), for the consistency of the learning content included in the platform and for our legal safety we should either:

a) each of us add the sources and a copyright notice in the end of each lesson (for each image/pic we use) as Sivan did – check for example his page on lesson 2.1. part 9:  https://www.foss4smes.eu/moodle/mod/book/view.php?id=630&chapterid=836

or b) delete the pics without sources and copyright.

ATL is currently adding the following text on trademarks and logos at the bottom of our website as suggested from the legal department of OFE:

"Third party logos may be used in this document to refer either to the entities claiming such logos, or to their products; those logos are and remain the property of their respective owners. The publisher and the authors of this publication disclaim any proprietary interest in any logos of other parties.    Third party trademarks and trade names may be used in this document to refer either to the entities claiming those trademarks and/or those trade names, or to their products; those trademarks and trade names are and remain the property of their respective owners. The publisher and the authors of this publication disclaim any proprietary interest in the trademarks and trade names of other parties."

Dear all, please check once again your own unit/lessons inside the UK course and make the required changes (add sources and copyright notice) by 25.10.19.

In parallel, all of us -except OFE- should also make the same changes in our own country course. If translation is required, we should do it too (IT, GR, DE).

After the 25th, all of us -except OFE- must make one last check that our country course includes the exact same content with the UK course (by 31.10.19).

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best,
Katerina

Hi everyone,

Our legal adviser looked at the copyright issue for logos and provided some recommendations. The document is specifically for the OFE section as it includes information on the logos used there, but I think the structure is also clear for everyone else.

He also added: "please make a proposed single page for copyright notices appear right at the front of the document, very closely (if not immediately) following the title page.  If there are multiple documents, make the page appear right at the front of each separate document."

I hope this helps in the implementation of the necessary information. This is besides the creative commons notice that Jonas and Björn have pushed to be included in the course.

Best,
Sivan
