That you for your considered feedback and my apologies for not replying sooner due to local work commitments. Regarding your suggestions:
1. I think there is still some value in retaining the lesson-level assessment as this would help users to decide whether they want/need to include a specific lesson in their learning path. But I see your point. That's a lot to go through. So there are couple of options here to address this. One is to craft another unit-level pre-assessment designed to allow the user to check if they need to the unit at all. However, that would seem to be redundant to the end-of-unit assessment. So how about we offer the user to review the end-of-unit assessment (with grading but not answers) formatively as a way to do this? They could then use their score to decide if they need to take the unit. Or something like this. 2. Regarding the Moodle integration, I don't see any reason why this could not also be done as a Moodle quiz as you suggest. By way of an excuse for not having done this, we presented this proposal in the way to get the feedback from the team before investing the effort in Moodle integration. And also partly because I wasn't sure if we would be the right resource to tackle the Moodle. Neither of us Brians would consider ourselves experts here.
