Hello,
I've been rather busy, so the Finnish team report is a bit late.
Here is briefly what has happened the lately:
- The Finnish team met Adrian at Openmind in the end of September - On your request, I contacted some Finnish officials on 10.-11.11. on the EIFv2 case even before the Finnish team was officially formed - ..eventually at FSCONS the Finnish team was officially formed after meetings between all of us (me, Henri and Timo) and Karsten, Matthias etc. - On the 27.11.2009 we sent out a mini-press release about the formation of the Finnish team to some FLOSS-related mailing lists, news services etc. We also marketed a bit that we'll have a gathering.. - ..which we had on the 9.12. at a FSCONS "theme evening" organised by the Finnish Linux user group. I held a presentation about FSFE in Finnish (slides at http://otto.kekalainen.net/FSFE/fsfe-esitelm%c3% a4-rekrypainotus.odp) that was targeted to potential new Fellows. - Thanks to (or in spite of) our recruitment efforts the amount of Finnish Fellows grew with 25% (=4 new members)
Now in January we haven't done much, but we have great plans for the spring :) Lets see what we eventually have resources for. Mainly, we'll try to recruit more Fellows, build network and generally establish presence both online and offline.
The support from Matthias and others at FSFE has been great and we have everything we need at the moment (mailing lists, presentation materials etc).
