Terve,
Meillä on tällä hetkellä listat finland@, joka käsittää siis Suomen tiimin, sekä fsfe-fi@, jolle kuka tahansa voi vapaasti liittyä (ja oletan että kaikki suomalaiset Fellowt on liitetty ko. listalle automaattisesti). Fsfe-fi@-listalla on 52 henkilöä.
Meillä on myös olemassa press-release-fi@, mutta sitä ei ole toistaiseksi vielä käytetty.
Olen tässä miettinyt miten listojen käyttöä pitäisi kehittää ja toivoisin teiltä ajatuksia aiheesta.
Ensinnäkin listojen käyttötarkoituksia ovat (ainakin): 1. sisäinen keskustelulista meille (finland@) 2. osoite, josta kuka tahansa voi tavoittaa FSFE:n Suomen tiimin tai muuten vaan suomenkielisen vapaasofta-asiantuntijan 3. tarjota #vapaasuomi-kanavan kaltainen keskustelupaikka, joka tavoittaa ko. sektorin aktiivit, riippumatta siitä ovatko ne FSFE:n Felloweja, jonkun muun yhdistyksen jäseniä tai muuten vaan aktiivisia jossakin projektissa (esim. jotta voi yhdessä suunnitella tempauksia tai tapahtumia, esim. viikonvalo.fi tai Finhack) 4. tarjota tiedotuskanava, jonka kautta tavoittaa mahdollisimman monta vapaasoftasta kiinnostunutta suomalaista (esimerkkinä viikonvalo.fi-kampanjan aloitus) 5. tarjota lehdistötiedotteiden lähetyskanava, ja jonka käytön kynnys on mahdollisimman korkea 6. tarjota markkinointiväline, jonne voi kerätä potentiaalisten vapaasofta-aktiivien osoitteita ja sitä kautta yrittää houkutella heitä liittymään FSFE:en
Kaksi ekaa asiaa hoitaa luonnollisesti finland@-lista. Mun suora sposti ja puhelin on myös jossakin näkyvissä jos joku haluaa lähestyä yksittäistä henkilö luottamuksellisen asian kanssa. Kolmannen ja osittain neljännen hoitaa fsfe-fi@-lista. Viides on periaatteessa press-release-fi@, kuudetta ei ole. Kuudennen tarkoituksen hoitaa jossain määrin se, että fsfe.org:n etusivulla on lomake, jolla voi helposti tilata FSFE:n englanninkielisen uutiskirjeen.
Lisäksi kuvioon vaikuttaa se, että monet henkilöt voivat olla tilaajina useammalla listalla ja monet viestit (esim. lehdistötiedote) pitäisi lähettää 4.-6. tarkoitusten mukaan kaikille.
En tiedä varmuudella, mutta meillä saattaa nyt olla sellainen tilanne, että potentiaalisia FSFE:n suomalaisesta toiminnasta kiinnostuneita on englanninkielisen uutiskirjeen tilaajina, eikä me tiedetä niistä mitään eikä me voida tavoittaa niitä mitenkään suoraan. Osa fsfe-fi-listalla olijoista ei välttämättä halua erityisemmin osallistua keskusteluihin, mutta ovat kyllä kiinnostuneita tiedotteista. Lehdistötiedotteisiin voisi helposti käyttää press-release-fi@ -listaa, mutta entäs jos meillä on jotain vähäisempää tiedotettavaa, pitäisikö olla erillinen lista vapaasoftaihmisten tavoittamiseen, esimerkkinä nyt vaikka jos Finhackiin haetaan puhujia, niin se ei ole valtakunnallinen uutinen, mutta vapaasoftapiirit sen toivoisi silti tavoittavan laajasti. Ja mitäs tehdään, jos jossakin messuilla tms tapaa Linux-käyttäjän, joka on aktiivinen mutta järjestäytymätön eikä se halua heti liittyä jäseneksi, pitäisikö siltä ottaa sähköpostiosoite ylös ja tilata press-release-fi@-listalle, englanninkielisen uutiskirjeen saajaksi vai minne? Nythän me mainostetaan fsfe-fi@-listaa, mutta se on periaatteessa keskustelulista eikä tiedotuslista (vai onko?).
Mitäs pitäisi tehdä kun lähetetään lehdistötiedote, ristiinlähetetäänkö se sekä fsfe-fi@ että press-release-fi@-listoille, jolloin melkein kaikki fsfe-fi@-listan tilaajat saavat ne tuplana (tai vaihtoehtoisesti laitetaanko fsfe-fi@ jäseneksi listalle press-release-fi@, jotta fsfe-fi@ varmasti saa kaikki tiedotteet eikä ristiinlähettämistä vahingossa unohda)?
Vai ovatko sähköpostilistat ylipäänsä vanhanaikaisia, pitäisikö tiedottaminen hoitaa #vapaasuomi-kanavalla, jossa on yleensä 70+ henkeä kun fsfe-fi@-listalla on vain 52 tilaajaa. Minkälainen meidän tiedotuslistan toiminta pitäisi olla, jotta edes kaikki #vapaasuomi-kanavan tilaajat liittyisivät sille tai miten me markkinoidaan sitä, että siellä joku päivä voisi olla tuhansia tilaajia? (Oletettavasti Suomessa kuitenkin on tuhansia aktiivisia vapaasoftakäyttäjiä niiden kymmenien tai satojen tuhansien ei niin fanaattisten käyttäjien lisäksi.)
Pitäisikö esim. FSFE.org:ssa tai http://fsfe.org/fi/ olla jokin lomake otsikolla "Haluatko saada tiedotteita FSFE:n toiminnasta Suomessa?" joka johtaisi press-release-fi@ -listan tilaamiseen? Mitä jos myöhemmin on tarve kohdistaa jokin viestin ko. lomakkeen tilanneille henkilöille, jotka eivät kuitenkaan sinne manuaalisesti lisättyjä median edustajia?
Voisiko FSFE tuottaa lisäarvoa suomalaiseen "vapaasoftaskeneen", jos meidän kautta eri vapaasoftaprojektien vetäjät voisivat helposti lähettää lehdistötiedotteita tai muita ilmoituksia projekteihinsa liittyen?
Onko meidän kielialue niin pieni, että on järkeä pitää tällaisia listoja, vai pitäisikö ajaa väki liittymään FSFE:n yleisille listoille ja käydä kaikki keskustelut Suomenkin toiminnasta siellä?
Ei välttämättä helppo kuvio ratkaistavaksi, mutta heittäkää nyt kuitenkin ajatuksia ja kommentteja. Kiitos!

IRC ei oikein sovellu tiedottamiseen. Monella ei ole konetta joka on päällä jatkuvasti. IRC on kuitenkin hyvä interaktiiviseen organisointiin vaikkapa jonkun tapahtuman osalta. En usko että mikään yksittäinen media riittää meille.
Minkälainen meidän tiedotuslistan toiminta pitäisi olla, jotta edes kaikki #vapaasuomi-kanavan tilaajat liittyisivät sille tai miten me markkinoidaan sitä, että siellä joku päivä voisi olla tuhansia tilaajia?
Mitä jos järjestettäisi kysely joka yrittää kartoittaa mitä ihmiset haluavat?
(Oletettavasti Suomessa kuitenkin on tuhansia aktiivisia vapaasoftakäyttäjiä niiden kymmenien tai satojen tuhansien ei niin fanaattisten käyttäjien lisäksi.)
Jep. Ja tunnen monta "fanaattistakin" jotka eivät osallistu mihinkään oma-aloitteisesti mutta jotka ovat erittäin halukkaita ja kiinnostuneita auttaomaan kun vaan mainitsee jonkun konkreettisen ongelman :-)
