Hello,
I just found out that the city of Helsinki released an internal report about the OpenOffice pilot. The conclusion was that migrating to OpenOffice would cost 4,5 million euros the first year and 3,4 million euros yearly for at least seven years. The report (in Finnish) attached. I will translate the main points when I have spare time.
At this moment I have a question to team@: the report does not contain actual calculations but refers to the model ”Gartner Toolkit: The Cost to Upgrade Microsoft Office or Move to OpenOffice.org”. Has this model been used before? Who paid Gartner to make it? Any background info about it?
The document is definitely not freely available, it costs 7500$ from http://www.gartner.com/id=1389621
Otto, do you by any chance know if it is available in Swedish?
/Marcus
