Olisiko jollakin teistä helsinkiläistä intoa järjestää jokin SFD-tapahtuma tänä vuonna?

Dear Coordinators,
first of all, thank you very much for your motivation of being a local Fellowship coordinator. For those of you who do not know me yet: I am Erik and beginning from now, I will act as a contact person for Fellowship activities together with Matthias Kirschner and Martin Gollowitzer. In my signature you find a link with all relevant information about me and how to contact me.
This time I am writing you because of Software Freedom Day [1] which will be on 15th of September 2012 and which offers a great opportunity to organise public activities. Actually, the FSFE would love to see local Fellowship activities during that day. On the one hand, such activities help to spread the knowledge about and the attraction of the Free Software Foundation Europe. On the other hand, organising activities for software freedom is fun and gives you the chance to meet other Fellows as well as people from other organisations that care about software freedom. What kind of activity you would like to do is totally up to you. There are a plenty of possible activities, from organising talks to install parties to setting up booths. Feel free to browse Software Freedom Days homepage to get impressions and ideas what kind of activity could fit best for _your_ local Fellowship group.
Just two special comments: A) If you are planning to organise a talk, we might be able to reimburse you travel costs for the speaker. This depends on the amount of money and the kind of talk given. Of course, this is only possible for public talks. In any case: Please ask beforehand and we will give you an answer in short time period. B) This year, FSFE is running a new campaign, namely "Free Your Android" [2]. This campaign is about spreading software freedom to mobile devices that run with Google's Android. In the short time period FSFE is running this campaign, it is already a quite successful campaign. We got a lot of media attention and a lot of people are interested in this campaign. Therefore, we decided to organise install-parties from time to time. In Berlin, for example, there will be an FreeYourAndroid install-party on Software Freedom Day, organised by the local Fellowship group.
For this successful campaign, we encourage you to become a "trainer", so that you will be able to organise install-parties for yourself. Preferable on Software Freedom Day!
If you are interested in becoming a trainer, there will be a FreeYourAndroid-workshop on the *** 26th of August *** - in Berlin. Among other experts, Torsten Grote, initiator of this campaign, will be present to answer all your questions and train you well. Please, don't miss the date - or, if you think of someone in your Fellowship group who might be interested, please tell him about the workshop. If you really like to come but you cannot afford the trip to Berlin, please contact us and we might be able to pay your transportation costs.
After all, don't miss the chance to celebrate software freedom with like-minded people and please don't miss to tell us about your activity! We will then promote it on our homepage and through our media channels to help you attract more people to your event.
Thank you very much, Erik
