So the Linux kernel is now officially a national treasure -- this is something that Finland's policymakers should hear more about.
I'll also enjoy showing politicians in other countries the approach, and suggesting that they raise the profile of their own developers a bit.
E.g. the Dutch alone have vim's Bram Moolenaar, Python's Guido van Rossum, Postfix' Wietse Venema... (he's the only one of the three who's not pictured holding a beer on Wikipedia. Hm.)
