Liebe Freunde,
Ich schreibe euch heute mit einen weinenden und einen lachenden Auge.
Heute ist mein letzter Tag als der FSFE Legal Koordinator und wo ich gerade
meine e-Mails migriere, muss ich mich auch entschieden welche Mailing Lists
ich danach noch verfolgen will und kann. Leider hab ich danach mit dem
Österreichischen FSFE Themen noch weniger an Hut als vorher und deshalb
werde ich mich von den Vienna und Austria Fellowship MLs entfernen.
Diese Entscheidung liegt mir besonders schwer weil die Wiener und Grazer
Fellows die allerersten waren die ich persönlich getroffen habe und die mich
in die ganze FSFE Sache integriert haben. Die Grazer Linuxtage bleiben mir für
immer im guter Erinnerung!
Es gibt aber auch gute Neuigkeiten. Mein Posten in der FSFE wird nicht leer,
aber von Nicola Feltrin besetzt, im dem ich sehr viel vertrauen habe. Auch bin
ich nicht komplett weg – ich bleibe ja noch immer Mitglied von FSFE und dessen
Legal Team und Legal Network; und der Slowenischen Fellowship/Team auch
noch.
Wer mein neuer Arbeitgeber sein wird, weiß ich noch nicht, aber ihr könnt
sicher sein dass ich die Freie Software Thematik nicht aufgegeben habe ;)
Hoffentlich bald auf Wiederschauen und papa…

Liebe Österreicher,
Wie bereits im Februar Newsletter [1] und als Meldung [2] angekündigt, wird
die FSFE 2016, vom 2. bis 4. September ihren ersten "Summit" veranstalten, im
Berliner Congress Center [3]. Wir feiern dieses Jahr 15 Jahre Existenz und wir
widmen unser Treffen Euch, unserer Gemeinschaft in ganz Europa. Ihr seid
diejenigen die uns stark gemacht haben. Der Summit wird kostenlos sein und
partizipativ, um Freie Software Enthusiasten aus ganz Europa zu ermöglichen
ihr Können und Wissen über Freie Software zu verwenden, zu verstehen, zu
verbreiten und zu verbessern - gemeinsam.
Der summit wird ganztags am Wochenende des 3. und 4. September stattfinden.
Ein Tag zuvor, am Freitag, veranstaltet die FSFE außerdem einen ganzen Tag
über "Running successful business with Free Software". Für beide
Veranstaltungen suchen wir Sprecher, Beiträge, Freiwillige und Teilnehmer.

anbei ein paar Hinweise zu den derzeit laufenden Linuxwochen in Wien.
Die Linuxwochen Wien laufen noch bis zum 30.04.2016 und parallel dazu
gibt es eine MiniDebConf die über die Laufzeit hinaus auch am 01.05.2016
spannendes Programm bietet. [0]
Weiter möchte ich noch darauf hinweisen, dass heute und morgen die
Grazer Linuxtage, ebenfalls mit spannenden Workshops und Vorträgen
stattfinden. Natürlich sind wir auch dort mit einem Stand dabei. [1]
Zuletzt gibt es noch vor dem Sommer am 11. & 12. Juni die Linuxwochen in
Linz [2]. Zu selbiger läuft gar noch der Call For Papers [3].
Ich erlaube mir an dieser Stelle auch eine E-Mail von M. Kirschner aus
der deutschen Mailinglist quer-zu-schicken:

Ahoy hoy Communities, Mailinglisten, Hacker und FLOSS-Aktivisten,
die FSFE Gruppe Linz freut sich, die heurigen Linuxwochen Linz
(endlich) anzukündigen. Diese werden am 11. Juni im Wissensturm und am
12. Juni im Hackerspace /dev/lol stattfinden. Wir sind nun auf der
Suche nach interessanten Vorträgen und interaktiven Workshops - in
diesem Sinne: Spread the word!

am Freitag den 15. April 2016 findet ein Fellowship-Treffen in Wien
statt. Wir treffen uns ab 18:30 Uhr in der Bibliothek im Metalab,
Rathausstraße 6. Die Agenda starten wir um 19:00 Uhr.
