We are trying to finger out if the license is compatible or not with the GNU General Public License.

The "promotion" clause is optional this is a good point. But regarding the point 3 and 4. This could be a restriction to a distribution (so to user freedom).

Is there an "official" statement regarding the compatibility of JDOM license with the GNU General Public License ? (Maybe to add that on the gnu web site ?)
