What to use to organise a "weminar"?

Hi, I'm supposed to organise an online workshop next week. I would just like to brodcast what is happening on my screen to up to 15/20 people. I don't even really need video or audio, just a screen broadcast would be enough. So far, my tests of jisti are not very conclusive. People keep telling me to use skype or google hangouts / other proprietary services. Does someone have a better idea? What would you do if you were in my shoes? The viewers are not using Free Software, and are both on Mac and Windows. Thanks! Lucile

This year the campaign day is March 26th, when people who believe in fair access to communications technology and Open Standards will again present, perform, and demonstrate. Goal for February 14th: More love reports than bug reports! #ilovefs

(If you are reading FSFE's newsletters [1] (and you should when you have not yet given me feedback what I could improve ;) ), and you already use one of our banners [2], you can skip this post because I copied and pasted it. Else please continue.) Let us admit it, the Free Software community is often very critical. Wewrite bug reports, tell others how they can improve the software, ask them fornew features, and to not spare with criticism. Sometimes we forget to say "thank you, for all your work". As in the last years, we want to change this, at least for one day. So on Tuesday the 14th of February we will celebrate the "I love Free Software" - Day [3]. Get active, buy your favourite developer a drink or give them a hug (ask forpermission first), write an e-mail/letter [4] expressing your feelings, create nice pictures, donate to a Free Software initiative, use another of our suggestions [5] or be create yourself to show how you appreciate people, working hard to enlarge or defend our freedom. Beside that help us to promote the activity with our banners [6], by e-mail, (micro)blog or in your (distributed?) social networks. New this year is a whole day event in the Unperfekthaus in Essen (Germany) [7] and that all our Fellows automatically get an login(a)ilovefs.org e-mail alias. So let's make sure that on February 14th there are more love reports, than bug reports! Free Software "cloud computing"

Hi everyone Lately I'm reading lots of things about "open source cloud computing". In press releases of press articles, no one really ever explain what it means, and why it is important. Do you know more about it? Do you have concrete examples? What can be the advantages in term of freedom (could those "clouds" be interoperable for example?) Is there already some standardisation going on? The normal problems of SaaS remain, don't they? Fairphone violating the GPL

Hello I tried to build a custom kernel for the Fairphone, but I got an error message: make ARC=arm defconfig alps/kernel/arch/arm/Makefile:237: alps/kernel/mediatek/Makefile: No such file or directory make: *** No rule to make target `alps/kernel/mediatek/Makefile'. Stop. It seems that the Fairphone (or its ODM) is violating the GPL. I downloaded the kernel from bit.ly/1g5PXRz. Tobias Platen
