This was my thinking too - if we have a selection then people can choose which they prefer.

However I understand that having one particularly clear button is a good idea for consistency and branding.

I was wondering about using imagemagik or similar to generate a button with the member's number (or name, but that's probably harder) for new fellows. I've never done this before, and you may not think a button with a fellow number is relevant, but its just an idea.

Yes, the last button in the gallery is blue, all the others are green. This is intentional, as the fellowship branding/theming is green based, but the fsfe logo is blue based, so the designs are fundamentally different. I didn't see that it made sense to brand generic fsfe buttons with the fellowship theme as they are two separate things. Personally I find the fellowship theming preferable and much easier to work with but the fsfe needs more exposure than the fellowship programme, in my opinion, as the fellowship is just one source of funding and activity for fsfe.

What is important for the web is, that we provide several different sizes of the buttons

Well, once you decide on one that you like then I can make them whatever size you like (although we will be limited in how small we can go by having to maintain readability).

I can make some more or add some alterations if people have specific requests.

I'm not sure where we are expecting these buttons to be used primarily - on people's blogs? On stickers? Again, if people have specific ideas about alterations, uses, sizes, shape etc. then please let me know.

All images should be embedded in the file. You'll need to have Nimbus Sans L installed. I used inscape 0.46 pre4 to make the file.

I think it might be good if you also write a short Blog entry about that so more people know about it

What kind of blog entry do you have in mind Matthias? On the fellowship site? About how I made the buttons, or how they may be used, or simply that they exist? What are your thoughts? I think that this is a good idea also.
