Hi all,
as an first real life example for the use of this list:
http://www.difficulties.de/tmp/fsfe-draft/index.html is a beta draft for
how the new modules of the Fellowship website should work together. And
On the entry page it should be explained what the Fellowship is.
Therefor I want to use a graphic (attached as inkscape SVG) in the way
it is already on the page. It should illustrate that one fellow adds
something to the Fellowship and that you are not alone.
But as I am a design dummy I would like to ask if somone from you can
make this graphic look good ;) I made it with Inkscape. Perhaps also the
gradient plussy can be used for that, I do not know
(http://www.fsfe.org/en/fun/artwork/materials).
We need this graphic:
- for the website (png)
- for presentations (eps)
- and in the source file (gimp, inkscape, whatever)
Does someone have time to do this?
Thanks,
Matthias

Hi all,
finally I have the time to write a short introduction on this list. My
name is Matthias, 25 years old, living in Berlin and studying politics
and management in Potsdam. Beside that I am active for FSFE since 2004,
at the moment as Fellowship coordinator and deputy German coordinator.
FSFE always lacked designers who can help with leaflets, posters, small
graphics like web banners, or graphics for presentations, etc. In the
past, when someone needed one of the above things he ended up doing it
on his own. Sometimes with not so nice results ;)
So our aim is to have a contact point, which people from the FSFE team
can contact when they need nice graphics, or want to hear the opinion if
this fits into FSFE's "corporate identity". So we created this
mailinglist for this.
= What We Have =
*Logos*
- FSFE and Fellowship Logo, plus some documents how to use them.
*Leaflets*
In the last month the situation very much improved. Thanks to Nils
Buhlert we now have very nice leaflets, which we now managed to get
autogenerated with Latex (see
<http://fsfeurope.org/documents/leaflets/> and at the moment
<http://download.fsfeurope.org/leaflets/> for the folders).
= In Progress =
*Posters*
Benjamin Kirschner also started making a FSFE poster, and Markus
Meier is currently working on the new version.
= What we need for this group =
Make the style guide FSFE+Fellowship: (Nils once started with it). I
can sent you all docuemnts I have, so we can make one document out
of it. It is mainly gathering the information we have and put them
in a sensible order.
And as already said above, we really need one central point where we can
raise design questions.
I think it would be nice if everyone can sent a short introduction about
himself to the list, so we know who is who.
I hope I did not forget anything important. If you have any questions
please contact me!
Thank you,
Matthias
