Agreed.
Caveat: Dirk Hohndel was previously with SuSE and is known to have a strong anti-FSF (mainly US, but I expect some transferrence) bias, so it should not be one of us to contact him. :)
I did meet (and have a nice chat with) Brad Biddle, though, and also could talk to Danese Cooper.
