Taling to Google about funding

FYI. I am currently talking to Chris DiBona about potential funding avenues, and he showed interest in Open Standards and Certified Open. Below you find my information, sent along with Products + Services framework. I would like Google to sign up to CO as one of the first companies, but we will need to tell them how much money exactly that would cost. I remember having discussed this, but also remember that Graham wanted to give it some more thought at some point. Any results? Regards, Georg ------------- snip ------------- >> C. Dear board, Basil, Rod I noticed that the Certified Open SkillsTracker is still on-line at: http://iitt.dev.premierithosting.com/index.php It's potentially a liability due to its lack of completeness and some other rough edges. For example the following error appears on the main page: "Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'iitt_skills'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /net/nfs-home/home/www/clients/iitt/includes/adodb_/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 348" Suggest taking it off-line until we are ready to roll out. Dear Board, Basil, Rod At the moment we have quite a mix of fonts used in our documents. Perhaps we should clarify what font our documentation should be in. For instance, 'DejaVu Sans' appears to be the OpenOffice.org default. Application process database test

There are problems. Please see below. Created account shane_c Modified account. Logged out. Tried to log back in. Account had vanished. Created shane_coughlan Created product. Problems as follows: The creation field has all of the Product and Services Framework views (Client/Software/Hardware/Data/Business) without any clarity about what people need to fill in or how our system deals with the fact that almost noone will fill in all the framework views. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Created product. Scoring appeared to work. Clicked around. Suddenly could not find if I was still logged in or not. The log-out button is missing, having been originally placed in the dynamic page contained in a frame that changes and loses the log-out button once we move beyond the initial log-in screen. In other news, I searched for products. Found one. Clicked. Strangely displayed itself in the product submission format, allowing me to recreate the product score by clicking in the form fields. That needs to be changed from a form display into displaying the content of the various answers statically (and removing all the other options in each question segment): http://www.certifiedopen.com/co_show_product?product_id=11dc7642d193d02487f… Other persistent problems: (a) Occasional attempts to view sections of the application database resulted in a white screen with no content; (b) The website is suffering from lack of integration, with elements purely Plone and elements connecting to the database. There is problematic overlap, with - for instance - clicking the 'Product database' tab causing Plone to re-access the database and muck up log-in state entirely. I have no idea what those Italians are doing but it bears very little resemblance to engineering. Shane, I have been through both and made a few changes. Nearly all are putting in the reg mark for the first Co in every section. Rest just mainly a few minor grammatical/date changes. They are marked up under changes. Anyone else has any changes? Rgds G
