We will be running an email self defence class as a "Themed Thursday" at 57North Hacklab on the 12th June. Themed Thursdays are open to non-members of the hackerspace (although a donation is appreciated as we are using their space).

I will be giving a short introduction to PGP and encrypting email and then, if you've bought your laptop along, you should be able to send and recieve encrypted emails before the end of the night and understand what the limitations of PGP are so you don't get caught out.
