<span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:source sans pro,helvetica neue,helvetica,arial,sans-serif">Der Verein CH Open betreibt seit August 2019 einen kostenlosen Schulserver <a href="https://ch-open.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=54f5cbb42d63d434448210774&id=3c7add5055&e=267e684942" target="_blank" style="mso-line-height-rule: exactly;-ms-text-size-adjust: 100%;-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;color: #0c8ea8;font-weight: normal;text-decoration: underline;">(https://openeduserver.ch/</a>), welcher einen Nextcloud Zugang, LibreOffice Online und Nextcloud Talk beinhaltet. Dieser Service kann von Schulen frei genutzt werden. Leider fehlten dem Verein bislang die finanziellen Mittel, um dieses Angebot zu professionalisieren, weshalb das Angebot während dem Lockdown, welcher die schweizweite Schliessung der Schule zur Folge hatte, trotz Nachfrage und Interesse von verschiedenen Schulen nicht grossflächig bekannt gemacht werden konnte. Dennoch sammelten wir im Rahmen eines Pilotprojektes bereits wertvolle Erfahrungen mit der Schule Saanen, welche komplett auf den von CH Open angebotenen Open Education Server setzt.<br>

Die <strong>Stiftung Mercator Schweiz</strong> hat im Rahmen des Programms "Digitalisierung und Gesellschaft" die Wichtigkeit eines offenen Schulservers ebenfalls erkannt. In der Not griffen nämlich viele Schulen auf schnell verfügbare und vermeintlich einfache Komplettangebote von Google und Microsoft zurück. Dies ist nicht im Sinne einer <strong>"Digitalen Selbstbestimmung"</strong> und einer <strong>"Digitalen Teilhabe"</strong>, wie sie die Stiftung Mercator fördern möchte. Die Adfinis AG wurde daher im Sommer 2020 beauftragt, auf Basis verschiedener Anbieter Möglichkeiten für einen solchen offenen Server zu prüfen und als Prototypen zu erstellen.<br>

In der nächsten Phase unterstützt die Stiftung Mercator Schweiz jetzt unseren Verein CH Open finanziell, um im Rahmen einer Bedarfsabklärung und Machbarkeitsstudie die Anforderungen an einen solchen offenen Schulserver vertieft zu erheben. Es geht darum, die Bedürfnisse von Lehrpersonen, IT-Verantwortlichen an Schulen/Schulleitungen und Vertretern des übergeordneten Bildungssektor zu erheben. Diese breit angelegte Umfrage soll uns dabei helfen, diese Bedürfnisse möglichst konkret abzuholen. Damit die Bedarfsabklärung und Machbarkeitsstudie die richtigen Aufschlüsse liefert, sind wir auf die Hilfe von Ihnen angewiesen. Positives, negatives, kritisches und natürlich auch Wünsche und Visionen, alles soll Platz haben. Das Ziel der Bedarfsabklärung und Machbarkeitsstudie sind konkrete Aussagen dazu, ob die Bereitschaft und das Bedürfnis im Bildungssektor Schweiz zur Arbeit mit einem offenen Schulserver genügend vorhanden sind, wie dieser Server ausgestattet sein müsste, in welchem finanziellen Rahmen sich ein solches Projekt für die Schulen bewegen muss und was für Supportmodelle gewünscht sind.<br>
