Uber asking if I'd like to work on their core infrastructure.</p>

interested in. A bit on principle, as I won't work with Uber on

<p> * I don't sympathize with their undermining of the taxi
business, replacing trained and insured drivers with what is
effectively what used to be called "pirate taxis" paying "app
taxes" to an American company. </p>

<p>The first reason is really sufficient as I won't work with
proprietary software if I can help it (and right now I can,
thankfully), but the second would also be sufficient in itself
if their app *were* free software.<br>
