I think it fits most of the ideas of what a logo should be. (simple, easily recognised and understood, looks ok in low resolution, ..).

As to the individual sketches - those with the letter s on the line - especially the 1st and 3rd, appear better. The last three are not so successful (imho ;)

Anyway, this discussion seems to have dragged on for long enough.  Could we suggest a deadline for a decision on a logo, to focus peoples minds? Then we can get on with discussing what *really* matters - promoting Free Software over Proprietary.
